First of all, the tools!
Pictures below are my actual accounts. Links are provided to help you register for these free social networking tools.
VoiceThread
VoiceThread is a cloud operation social networking tool that allows users to create, comment, and share slides of information with audio dialog.
VoiceThread is a great social networking tool for the education because it allows students to interact with each in a distance learning dialogue. After registering an account (free) then the user can create a slide show of pictures, media, and audio which can be shared with others. Those with VoiceThread accounts may then make comments and share their thoughts on the content. It's a great tool for distance learning and virtual discussion. Google Plus |
Google Plus is a social networking and identity service. Google Plus uses the powerful tools of Google apps and makes them accessible.
One great benefit of Google Plus is the immediate notification of information given quickly to a specified group of people. This is used through a medium called "circles". Google circles is a great tool for learning because it can be private or public so that each individual class can communicate together. You will find the default page for Google Plus at https://plus.google.com/ My already created Google Plus account can be found at https://plus.google.com/u/0/113175694193334036193/posts/p/pub |
Flickr
Flickr is an image hosting and video website that allows users to place their images and videos. Flickr is easy to register, it's free, and connected to Facebook for easy image and video sharing.
There are many ways to use Flickr. As a social networking website Flickr is a great way to stay connected with friends with sharing images. One way to use Flickr in the classroom is by creating galleries and sharing them with other students. These galleries can be used in a variety of ways to create a social networking lesson.
